This project brings us to the East Coast where we designed a 2,500 sqft modern home in a beautiful 6.7 acre parcel in the Catskills. The new development project features a larger more versatile living space, more bedrooms and bathrooms, a transitional indoor/outdoor dining room & a swimming pool. The home includes an open-plan living room/dining room/gourmet kitchen with an 8 ft island and high-end appliances, double-height living room ceiling with corner windows walls, double sliding glass patio doors, a separate one bedroom in-law suite with full bath & private entrance, a main entrance through breezeway with covered parking & a covered patio.
We began design for this modern style, small home over a year into the pandemic, with construction severely constrained due to labor & material shortages, supply chain constraints and shipping delays. TechPrefab was able to overcome all these obstacles and manage all the required logistics for our customer during this challenging times. Materials have been shipped to the site and the home is now being installed. Stay tune for the final results!
We are working on two prefab labs for the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University to test new energy saving building technologies.
This project is a modern style single-family house with a double car garage & has 9 foot ceilings throughout the main floor.
The client needed a housing solution to rebuild the house after the CA wildfire last year.

NEST is a contemporary vacation house using a unique wood panel system consisting of walls, roofs, floors & ceilings. This allows the versatile design of large, clear span windows and doors and provides light & air to the inner facing bedrooms & to the kitchens.
It also acts as a gathering space for impromptu & spontaneous socializing with neighbors – which would be hard to achieve with interior corridor-based circulation.
